That's a really interesting question, I'd say it's the actual photo shoot because it is where I get to interact with the model, but it's also the stressful part, making sure that everything with the shot is OK.
Post production, for me, is much more relaxing. I love getting excited about taking photos, but after running around for a while, I really can't wait to sit down and think about finishing the pictures.
I enjoy both but the PHOTOSHOOT is DEFINITELY where it's at. That's where the magic happens. If you get it wrong there, the post processing doesn't matter.
can i put my name under this? no? then i'll just say "amen to that"

why the fuck for the first 3 years of my life my parents were teaching me how to walk and how to talk if now all they want from me is:'sit down and shut the fuck up'?
For me, they're two completely different experiences.
The shoot is all about celebrating the model, to some extent. Capturing the image, the back-and-forth, the rapport. The processing is more of a solitary thing, that's very detail oriented, and it's about making everything look its best.
They kind of go hand in hand, but, I like both equally. The only thing that could sway me is the fact that shooting takes less than a second, whereas it takes several hours to go through all of those images I shot in less than a second. (also, being so focused on the minor details of an image kind of dehumanizes the model after a while).

photoshoot! because it's much more fun to have people around you and share/execute ideas when editing my photos i need to be in a creative mood; but i'm always when taking photos.
