My gosh this is just beautiful

I had a question about the bokeh! I was able to get some good bokeh with my camera set to AV Priority, Super Macro, and at a f-stop of 2.7 and that turned out great. (Used Christmas lights)
But my problem is when I want to put a subject, like my brother, in front of it. Instead, BOTH him and the lights are blurry and I just want the lights. Any idea on how to fix that? Mind you, I still have it set to Super Macro so my camera won't zoom.
